Braun Leads Panel at Annual Border Security Expo

San Antonio, April 11, 2017 — SAVA Workforce Solutions’ General Manager, Michael Braun, recently participated in the 11th Annual Border Security Expo here. Braun is a member of the Border Security Expo Advisory Board and moderated a panel entitled, “A Layered Approach: Integration of Air and Marine Forces on the Border.”

The panel’s participants included senior executives and officers from the Customs and Border Protection’s Air and Marine Operations Center, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) Aviation Division, and the U.S. Coast Guard, as well as an industry representative from the Harris Corporation’s Tethered Aerostat Radar System that supports border security.

Typically more than 700 attend the annual expo representing the private sector and the Departments of Homeland Security, Justice, and Defense. Before joining the private sector, Braun served in law enforcement for 33 years before retiring from the DEA in 2008 as the assistant administrator, chief of operations. This year’s expo and conference was held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.

    SAVA’s DEA Service Desk technicians have improved first call resolution from 30% to 60% over the previous contractor’s performance. Over the last 3 years SAVA has consistently achieved 60% first call resolution, which exceeds the requirements of the contract’s Service Level Agreement.

    SAVA has more than 110 former federal investigators on staff providing solutions, training, and consulting in areas such as gang violence, organized crime, fraud, counterintelligence, and national security.
