Braun Serves as Panelist at International Summit on Borders

Washington, D.C., June 13, 2017 — SAVA Workforce Solutions’ General Manager, Michael Braun, spoke about transnational crime, terrorism and smuggling at the International Summit on Borders here.

The event included daily keynotes and sessions to identify, discuss, and evaluate best practices for effective border control at land and maritime borders and ports of entry, and the importance of bilateral and multilateral cooperation. The program featured distinguished speakers and border security experts from Australia, Canada, Europe, Mexico, Singapore, and the U.K..

Braun is a member of the summit’s advisory board and contributed to the “Combatting Transnational Organized Crime, Terrorism and Smuggling” panel along with experts from Canada, Colombia, and the UK.

Before entering the private sector, Mr. Braun served for 33 years in law enforcement and retired in 2008 from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration as the assistant administrator, chief of operations. The Summit was held at the Army Navy Club on June 12 and 13.

    SAVA’s DEA Service Desk technicians have improved first call resolution from 30% to 60% over the previous contractor’s performance. Over the last 3 years SAVA has consistently achieved 60% first call resolution, which exceeds the requirements of the contract’s Service Level Agreement.

    SAVA has more than 110 former federal investigators on staff providing solutions, training, and consulting in areas such as gang violence, organized crime, fraud, counterintelligence, and national security.
