Michael Braun


Michael Braun has an extensive 33-year career in law enforcement, including 24 years with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). He joined SAVA in 2016 after leaving a company he co-founded in 2008.

Michael served in the United States Marine Corps from 1971-1973 and spent 11 years in local and state law enforcement before joining the DEA. His DEA career included assignments in the St. Louis, Houston, Los Angeles and Detroit Divisions as well as Central and South America. After an appointment to the Senior Executive Service, Michael served as the Special Agent in Charge of the Detroit Division, led the Office of Special Intelligence and the entire Intelligence Division before being appointed by the Attorney General as the first Interim Director of the DOJ Drug Intelligence Fusion Center. Michael was detailed to the Department of Defense in 2003 and served on special assignment in Iraq as the SES Chief of Staff for the Interim Ministry of Interior, Coalition Provisional Authority. He was promoted to DEA Chief of Operations in 2005 where he served until his retirement in 2008 and continues to serve as a recognized authority on drug trafficking, transnational organized crime, narco-terrorism, and terrorist financing, among other national security topics.

Michael holds a BS degree in Criminal Justice from Southeast Missouri State University and he has attended the Senior Managers in Government Program at Harvard University and the National Executive Institute.

Shirle Fleming

Director of Operations

As Director of Operations for SAVA, Shirle Fleming works closely with SAVA’s General Manager to outline objectives, plan and synchronize project/program execution, and coordinate daily operations. She has more than 28 years of contract management and program management experience, and developed an extensive understanding of the military environment during her military career. Shirle spent 22 years in the United States Army as a member of the Army Engineer Corps and joined SAVA shortly after retiring in 2010. Prior to assuming her current role as Director of Operations, Shirle was a Program Manager responsible for SAVA’s most critical projects supporting the intelligence community. Shirle is a certified Project Management Professional, and holds an MBA from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science from Saint Martin’s College.

Ron Seymour

Director, Business Development

Ronald Seymour joined SAVA as Director of Business Development in 2013 to support and expand SAVA’s portfolio services to include technology ecosystems and platforms. He has over 25 years senior leadership experience in corporate development, business operations, and technology roles. He has supported corporate development operations through mergers and acquisitions and due diligence efforts as well as serving as a senior litigation consultant. His technical and operations experience includes leading teams in large data set analytics, cyber security and information assurance, global infrastructure development, IT and Communications systems design, engineering, and operations.

Lou Ronca


Lou Ronca joined SAVA in 2009 with over 39 years of military and law enforcement experience. Lou served on active duty in the United States Marine Corps from 1970 to 1974 and served in the Marine Corps Reserve until 1988. He joined the Orange County Sherriff’s Office in Florida in 1976 and was a Major Crimes Investigator until 1988 when he joined the FBI. After graduating from the FBI Academy, Lou served in a myriad of assignments including Program Coordinator for National Infrastructure Protection and Coordinator for the Joint Terrorism Task Force, Program Coordinator for the Special Operations Group, Firearms Instructor, Bureau Pilot-in-Command and Instructor Pilot, and Supervisory Special Agent at the Terrorist Screening Center. He later joined the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as a Senior Law Enforcement Instructor. Lou holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Rollins College and graduated from the FBI’s 191st Session of the National Academy at Quantico, Virginia.
