In December 2017, SAVA Workforce Solutions was appraised (rated) as a CMMI-DEV and CMMI-SVC Maturity Level 3 company. Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is a process level improvement training and appraisal program developed at the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University and administered by the CMMI Institute. It is required by many United States (U.S.) Department of Defense (DoD) and U.S. Government contracts, especially software development contracts.
“SAVA was able to achieve this milestone in less than 6 months due to the hard work and dedication of our fabulous team,” Michael Braun, SAVA General Manager said. “This achievement positions SAVA for continued growth across our existing markets and gives us the competitive advantage we need as we pursue new opportunities.”
CMMI is a performance improvement model for organizations that want to achieve high-performance operations. The model defines the most important elements that are required to build great products or deliver great services. CMMI evaluates business processes through a series of questions broken up into Process Areas. These questions provide guidance to organizations on the good behaviors and processes that already exist and the behaviors needed to improve processes.
“Congratulations, SAVA, on this tremendous achievement”, David Rue, Akima’s (SAVA’s parent company) Mission Systems Engineering and Technology (MSET) Group President said “I know this rating will propel SAVA’s future growth, performance, and profitability prospects.”
